5. Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers (e.g. email and cloud storage) may store data on servers outside Australia, typically in the United States or the European Union. Where this is the case, we take reasonable steps to ensure those providers handle personal information consistently with the APPs.
6. Photos submitted with quote requests
If you upload photos of your property to support a quote request, we store them solely for the purpose of scoping the work, providing a quote, and (if you engage us) executing the job. Photos are retained while the project is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for warranty and record-keeping. We do not publish identifiable photos of your property without your express consent.
7. Cookies and analytics
This website uses a small number of strictly necessary cookies, plus Google Analytics 4 (with IP anonymisation) and Microsoft Clarity — which load only after you accept analytics via our cookie banner. We do not use cookies for cross-site advertising. You can decline analytics, or disable cookies in your browser settings, without losing core functionality.
8. How we protect information
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure — including access controls, encryption in transit, and limited retention. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a notifiable data breach we will follow the requirements of the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
9. Accessing and correcting your information
You can request access to or correction of any personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@westauscleaning.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe (typically within 30 days) and may need to verify your identity before releasing information.
10. Complaints
If you believe we have breached the APPs or your privacy, please contact us in the first instance at hello@westauscleaning.com.au. We will investigate and respond within a reasonable timeframe. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
